About the Library

The Central Library of Setif 1 University Ferhat Abbas dates back to 1978, and was moved to its new headquarters in the El-Baz complex in 2025. Its area is estimated at 6639 m2, and it consists of 3 floors. The ground floor includes a book storage room for the disciplines of literature, humanities and social sciences and the archive hall. The first floor includes a book storage room for the disciplines of medical sciences, economic and administrative sciences, in addition to the office of the head of the guidance department, the office of the computer unit, the processing department, the acquisitions department, the reception and guidance office, in addition to the lecture hall. As for its second floor, it includes a book storage room for the disciplines of science and technology, in addition to the reading hall that can accommodate 1000 seats, the bibliographic research hall, the internet hall, the periodicals and theses hall, and the language and media café. The third floor includes the office of the director, the secretariat, the office of the head of the processing department, the office supplies storage room and the surveillance camera office.
