About the Service

Our Mission

This department is responsible for selecting titles for acquisition, receiving new books, and recording them in the inventory. It also monitors new publications and releases related to scientific and technical books by continuously reviewing the latest catalogs of publishers and suppliers in the scientific and technical disciplines offered at the university.

Each year, the department prepares lists of books to be selected in coordination with faculty members and the pedagogical committee, taking into account requests from users and researchers submitted through the online form available on the library and university websites, while also considering national educational policies and guidelines.

The acquisition process is overseen by a specialized committee composed of the university's vice-rectors and the vice-deans of faculties and institutes responsible for pedagogy. This committee is chaired by the director of the central library.
