About the Service
Our Mission
This department is divided into:
A wing dedicated to doctoral dissertations and master's theses defended at Setif 1 University (Ferhat Abbas)
A wing dedicated to periodicals, journals, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and databases subscribed to by the library administration, in addition to a bibliographic research room
An internet room
Each wing allows reading and internal borrowing only. Periodicals, dissertations, and theses cannot be borrowed; however, they can be downloaded in PDF format from the library's online catalog.
Key Activities

Bibliographic Research AssistanceGuiding post-graduates and researchers in conducting bibliographic searches using CD-ROM databases (Abstracts and Full Text) subscribed by the library.

Periodicals & Reviews ConsultationProviding access to scientific journals, periodicals, theses, dictionaries, and encyclopaedias for on-site consultation by students, post-graduates, and teachers.

Internet Room AccessProviding post-graduate students and researchers with access to a dedicated internet room for online scientific database searches and digital resource retrieval.

Digital Thesis DownloadEnabling users to download theses and periodicals in PDF format via the library's online catalogue and the DSpace institutional repository.

Database & Resource OrientationTraining users on how to effectively navigate and use available scientific databases, both on CD-ROM and through digital platforms such as SNDL and DSpace.
